Well, they’re not exactly doodles. However, they are in essence the same. Plagued by boredom, I began to experiment with artificial backgrounds. So, I picked a couple images and then slowly began to build them up. This quickly (or no so quickly looking at the time) led to a confusing and cluttered background. So, after pulling some elements the serene background came into being. I actually created the entire background in black and white and the colored it afterwards. I may go back to black and white to give it a more classical look.
Image number two was a direct result of the clutter of the image number one. While I was looking for elements for the first image I found this wonderful image under a Creative Commons license. So, keeping it simple I blended my model and the forest scene together. All told, I spent seven hours on the two images and there’s still things I would like to change. We’ll see if I get around to them.
The model is one of my favorite models Piper. The final images are both 16″x9″ to give them more of a cinematic feel.
Time to sleep.

Dude, does this work?
